Sleep, My Undoing
Hush now, my ruin, the night is kind,
It hides the parts you left behind.
The moon still hums your quiet tune,
Soft as a wound beneath the moon.
I rock myself where you once lay,
Counting the ghosts you took away.
Your name, a cradle, cracked in two,
Still rocks me when I dream of you.
The stars lean close, they almost weep,
They know the secrets pain will keep.
I hum your lies, they sound so true,
Each note a bruise, but sweet, from you.
Rest, my storm, the dark is deep,
I’ll love you still, though I can’t sleep.
For even wreckage can be warm,
When whispered to in your old form.
So sleep, my ruin, soft and slow,
I’ll hum the hurt you’ll never know.
And when the dawn forgets our tune,
I’ll wake still loving my undoing.

Amazing! Powerful from the start ❤️
